The Wedding Series: Flowers

ImageFor the next several posts, Mr. Grassroofs and I would like to share some of our wedding know how. We worked so hard on our wedding. I mean.  Really hard.  We folded and cut and spray painted for 363 days.  When everything was said and done, we were so proud of the product and so grateful to all the people who made it possible.  But it didn’t seem right to stop there.  A year of folding, and that’s it?!  Nope.  So, now we’re comin’ at you with a few tutorials.  Hope you enjoy!

Today’s tutorial: Paper Flowers

Thanks to William Justice for these looooooovely photographs.

Step 1: Cut or fold your paper into a square

Step 2: Fold the paper diagonally to create a triangle

Step 3: Take the side corners (technical term) and fold them up to the top corner

Step 4: Slide your finger into the “pocket” created by the fold-up you just did.  Flatten the flaps out

Step 5: Fold down the tips sticking out

Step 6: Fold in the sides and glue together

Step 7: Repeat 4 times.  Glue each one to some sort of stick or dowel.
